Thematic Areas

What We Work On

Thematic areas shaped by field experience, not by a catalogue.

MFRS India works across social, economic, public-sector and market-research themes where strong research design needs to be matched by practical field execution, monitoring and reliable data.

The areas below reflect sectors in which members of the MFRS team bring relevant professional experience and where the company is positioned to support research, surveys, monitoring, evaluation, data collection and related assignments. They are not presented as a list of projects completed by MFRS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.

How We Approach Sectors

Sector knowledge matters, but so does understanding how the work behaves on the ground.

The same survey method does not work identically with farmers, health workers, students, government institutions or urban consumers. MFRS approaches thematic work by combining subject context with field planning, respondent realities and the specific evidence the assignment needs to produce.

Start with the question

We first understand what the client is trying to learn or verify, then determine the field and data approach around it.

Adjust to the respondent

A farmer interview, facility assessment, household survey and consumer study require different preparation and field handling.

Keep experience and evidence separate

Team experience informs capability, while company assignments are identified separately as MFRS work.

A thematic area is not the same thing as a completed MFRS project.

MFRS distinguishes between the professional experience of its people and assignments undertaken by MFRS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.

References to earlier studies or sectors on this page are used to explain the experience and subject familiarity that individuals bring to the organisation. Company-level assignments are identified separately on our work and project pages.

Sector knowledge helps us ask better questions. Field experience helps us understand whether those questions will work in practice.

MFRS brings both into the assignment — adapting research, monitoring and field operations to the people, institutions and programme environment being studied.
